I’ve suffered a lot in 92 years. My mother died of malnutrition. My brother was murdered by the local authority. I was torture by the police. I have lost two children. I have suffered through cancer. Suffering can be a painful companion in life, but it can also be a powerful teacher. I have learned that true joy is formed in crucible of suffering. And I want you to share this joy that I have found. We pray a lot in our world to be spared suffering. But in this book, I pray that you’ll be able to see the joy that is on the other side of the suffering God has placed in our lives.
